Program Information

  • The ratio is one (1) educator for every eight (8) children
  • Average age of children in this group is 2.6  to 3.8 years

Fresh, nutritious meals and snacks are prepared on site daily, by our chef John Sheridan a graduate of Algonquin College and has years of experience in the food industry.  Our menu provides a three week rotation of meals and snacks which follow the Canada Food Guide.   We are a “Nut Free” facility.

Rest Time

The preschool children nap in their rooms from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Each child is assigned their own bed and blanket, which is placed in the same place every day to ensure consistency. The bed sheets and blankets are laundered on a weekly basis. Any child who is not able to sleep, or who wakes up before 2:00 p.m., is encouraged to rest quietly on their bed and/or look at books until approximately 2:15 p.m.

Toilet Training

For the children who are not fully trained, parents will need to supply pull ups and wipes.  In conjunction with a parent’s efforts at home, we will work on reinforcing toilet training while at day care.

Outdoor Play

The playgrounds are inspected on a daily, monthly and seasonal basis by program staff and on an annual basis by a Canadian Certified Playground Inspector to ensure that the environment and equipment is safe for the children. Children are taken outside both morning and afternoon, weather permitting.
